Following on from The Wizard of Oz by our youth members in mid-October, The Stage Door Theatre Company are bringing you a laugh-a-minute comedy revue called ‘Christmas Cracker’ full of fun sketches! We’ll also be raising money for a very good cause – Mid-Northland Hospice from ticket sales.
Sketches include the failed dinner party, a typical evening with Netflix, an aging Romeo and Juliet, the Blind Date, Les Mis in 4 Minutes and plenty more.
Tickets are now on sale through iTicket and the Turner Centre Box Office. Two performances only, so don’t miss your chance for some festive fun.

A heart-warming, funny and moving play that has toured around the world and raised money for many Cancer charities, Calendar Girls is inspired by a true story. When the husband of a Yorkshire Women’s Institute member falls ill with cancer, the group are determined to raise money for a new sofa in the hospital waiting room. But how? A calendar, and not just any calendar!
The loveable cast of mature ladies decide to be bold and go nude for their cause, and they consequently take not only Yorkshire by storm, but the whole world! With fun, frolics and poignant scenes, this feel-good play has everything.
The Charity of Our Choice
The Stage Door Theatre Company have chosen the NZ Child Cancer Foundation as the recipient of $5 from every ticket sale.
Our Own Calendar : On Sale in July
On top of that, Stage Door are producing their very own calendar! The Kerikeri Calendar Girls Calendar, kindly funded by local businesses and photographed by Flash Gordon Photography @Take Five Agency, will be available to purchase before, during and after the show from their photo shoot locations around town, and with a donation of each sale also going to the NZ Child Cancer Foundation.

Alongside the calendar, we’ll be running a series of blog posts, one for each month of the calendar, over the next two months. If you can correctly guess the public locations used for the calendar photography, you’ll go into a draw to WIN TWO TICKETS to the show.
