| DOROTHY | Hello Mr Straw Man. Yes, we’re off to the Turner Centre to see the Wizard of Oz. |
| SCARECROW | Oh, I really want to see that show, and so do my young crow friends. |
| DOROTHY | They have Family Tickets, you know. How many crow friends do you have? |
| SCARECROW | (Thinks) Twelvety fiveteen and a halven |
| DOROTHY | (Momentarily confused) I tell you what, we’ll work it out when we get there. |
| DOROTHY | Run to the storm shelter, Toto! There’s a tornado coming! |
| TOTO | But where did you put our Wizard of Oz tickets, Dorothy? |
| DOROTHY | It’s okay, they’re right here in my… Oh no! They’ve blown away! Did you see where they went? |
| TOTO | Yes. Somewhere over that rainbow. |
| DOROTHY | Quick, after them, Toto! We can’t miss that show. It’s going to be out of this world! |
| DOROTHY | Toto, I can’t think of anything to do. Nothing ever happens around here. We haven’t even had a decent tornado to hide from in ages. |
| TOTO | Ooh, I’ve thought of something! |
| DOROTHY | This better be good… And nothing to do with bones… |
| TOTO | The WIZARD OF OZ is coming to The Turner Centre, Kerikeri, in exactly ONE MONTH! Let’s book some tickets! |
| DOROTHY | Well, that is a wonderful idea, Toto! You know how much I’d love to see The Wizard! |
Following on from The Wizard of Oz by our youth members in mid-October, The Stage Door Theatre Company are bringing you a laugh-a-minute comedy revue called ‘Christmas Cracker’ full of fun sketches! We’ll also be raising money for a very good cause – Mid-Northland Hospice from ticket sales.
Sketches include the failed dinner party, a typical evening with Netflix, an aging Romeo and Juliet, the Blind Date, Les Mis in 4 Minutes and plenty more.
Tickets are now on sale through iTicket and the Turner Centre Box Office. Two performances only, so don’t miss your chance for some festive fun.
We have TWO fun things going on!
The first is a return of our Theatre Academy to keep everyone busy during the summer holidays learning some awesome theatre skills.
DATES: Mon 13th to Thu 16th Jan
TIMES: 9am to 5pm
VENUE: Northtec, Kerikeri
We’ll be running two groups according to age – 8 to 11 years and 12+ years.

We’re auditioning 7 to 17 year olds for our Youth production of The Wizard of Oz which will be showing at The Turner Centre in Autumn 2020, directed by Jackie Matthews.
